四国中央市の皆様、こんにちは!

2006年から2009年までCIRとして市役所に働いていたドイツのダニエラです。四国中央市から離れて約15年がたちましたがこの3年間は最高に楽しかったと今でも思っております。自分自身の成長にも大事な経験になり、日本から離れたくないと強く感じました。結果として、今でも日本に住み続けて元気で頑張っています!それは四国中央市に出会った皆様のおかげです。心から感謝しています。実は、今年の夏、同時にいたALTのエリン・ヒルと四国中央市へ遊びに来ました。町の中は色々変わりましたが、人の温かさが相変わらず最高でした。また会いたいです!

ダニエル・クルーズ

2019年8月～2022年7月

SIFAの皆さん、設立20周年おめでとうございます。 2019年-2022年四国中央市の国際交流員を勤めました、クルーズ・ダニエルです。 あっという間にCIR満期から3年半が立ちました。現在関東の民間企業で仕事しています。東予の美しい景色、市役所までの５分間自転車通勤、そして親切な会員と事務所の皆さんをとても懐かしく思い出します。2024年初めて父母兄を四国中央市役所としこちゅ～ホールに案内できました。 私がCIRになった翌年にコロナ禍で国境閉鎖が始まり、一時的にイベント開催できなくなりました。しかしSIFAコミュニティは忍耐強くて、皆さんのご協力で活動を続けることができました。2年間延期になってしまった海外派遣事業も受入事業も、現在再開できているたことはとても嬉しく思います。 私の四国の記念品には金剛杖と未完成の88ヶ所ご朱印帳が含まれています。いつか完成させるためにまた訪れるつもりです。今は、四国中央市で素晴らしい思い出を刻んだ世界中の多くの人々の一人です。 SIFA精神がこれからも20年続くことを祈ります。

Hello everyone. It’s Daniel Cruse, CIR from 2019-2022. It’s hard to believe that over three years have passed since I left. I have been living and working in Kanto. I miss the beautiful nature of eastern Ehime, the short commute to city hall, and the friendly SIFA members and staff. Last year I was able to bring my parents to Shikokuchuo city hall and Shikochu hall for the first time. Less than a year after I became CIR the COVID pandemic pandemic began, national borders closed, and SIFA activities stopped for a time. But the SIFA community is resilient, and we persevered. I’m very happy that the JHS New Zealand homestay exchange and other events have energetically resumed. My Shikoku mementos include a 金剛杖 and incomplete Shikoku 88ご朱印帳. I’ll be back to finish it someday; for now, I’m one of the many people around the world who have cherished memories of Shikokuchuo city. Cheers to another 20 years of “Think Globally, Act Locally.”
