Congratulations on SIFA’s 20th Anniversary and may many more follow♡ Daniela ダニエル・クルーズ 2019年8月～2022年7月 SIFAの皆さん、設立20周年おめでとうございます。 2019年-2022年四国中央市の国際交流員を勤めました、クルーズ・ダニエルです。 あっという間にCIR満期から3年半が立ちました。現在関東の民間企業で仕事しています。東予の美しい景色、市役所までの５分間自転車通勤、そして親切な会員と事務所の皆さんをとても懐かしく思い出します。2024年初めて父母兄を四国中央市役所としこちゅ～ホールに案内できました。 私がCIRになった翌年にコロナ禍で国境閉鎖が始まり、一時的にイベント開催できなくなりました。しかしSIFAコミュニティは忍耐強くて、皆さんのご協力で活動を続けることができました。2年間延期になってしまった海外派遣事業も受入事業も、現在再開できているたことはとても嬉しく思います。 私の四国の記念品には金剛杖と未完成の88ヶ所ご朱印帳が含まれています。いつか完成させるためにまた訪れるつもりです。今は、四国中央市で素晴らしい思い出を刻んだ世界中の多くの人々の一人です。 SIFA精神がこれからも20年続くことを祈ります。 Hello everyone. It’s Daniel Cruse, CIR from 2019-2022. It’s hard to believe that over three years have passed since I left. I have been living and working in Kanto. I miss the beautiful nature of eastern Ehime, the short commute to city hall, and the friendly SIFA members and staff. Last year I was able to bring my parents to Shikokuchuo city hall and Shikochu hall for the first time. Less than a year after I became CIR the COVID pandemic pandemic began, national borders closed, and SIFA activities stopped for a time. But the SIFA community is resilient, and we persevered. I’m very happy that the JHS New Zealand homestay exchange and other events have energetically resumed. My Shikoku mementos include a 金剛杖 and incomplete Shikoku 88ご朱印帳. I’ll be back to finish it someday; for now, I’m one of the many people around the world who have cherished memories of Shikokuchuo city. Cheers to another 20 years of “Think Globally, Act Locally.”

SHIKOKUCHUO CITY 四国中央市 SHIKOKUCHUO CITY Central Shikoku Shikokuchuo City is located in the eastern end of Ehime Prefecture. Shikokuchuo City is the only district where four prefectures meet on Shikoku island. Shikokuchuo City is well-known for its paper manufacturing and processing industry. In the south of the city lies the steep mountain region of the Hoou and Shikoku mountains. Due to this abundant nature, we are able to obtain pure water. The weather of the city is mild with moderate rain throughout the year. In the winter snowfall is rarely seen. SHIKOKUCHUO CITY 四国中央市 Anchor 1 四国中央市・SHIKOKUCHUO CITY 四国中央市は愛媛県の東端に位置し四国の他の3県（香川県、高知県、徳島県）に接している都市です。四国中央市は製紙、紙加工業において日本屈指の生産量である。市の南部には東西に連なる法皇山脈の山々が屏風のようにそそり立っている。さらに、南には高知県との境をなす四国山地の山々が連なっている。気候は全般的に温暖で穏やかです。 Shikokuchuo City is located on the eastern edge of Ehime Prefecture and was merged from 2 cities, 1 town, and 1 village in April 2004. The city's name translates to "Central Shikoku" since it borders Kagawa, Tokushima, and Kochi prefectures. The northern part of the city is lined with many factories that make Shikokuchuo Japan's top paper manufacturer. The southern side of Shikokuchuo is made up of the Hoho Mountain Range that runs east to west and rising up like a folding screen. These mountains connect to the greater Shikoku Mountain Range that run along the border with Kochi Prefecture. SIFA 20周年～あゆみ SIFAについて 中学生海外派遣事業 市内イベント ホームステイ受入 CIR Messages 1993年2月23日 IIFA設立 伊予三島市国際交流協会(IIFA)が設立された。 1993年2月23日 CIR採用開始 IIFAは初の国際交流員（CIR）の採用を開始します。その後、ニュージーランド、アメリカ、マレーシア、イギリス、ドイツなどの国々からCIRが就任している。 1994年11月 受入開始 IIFAは旧伊予三島市に海外からの団体を受け入れました。中国の貴州からの農業研修生3名が訪問しました。四国中央市を訪れた様々なホームステイグループについて詳しくはこちら をクリックしてください。 1995年12月 中学生海外派遣事業開始 IIFAはニュージーランドのクライストチャーチにあるヒルモートン高校に行き、第1回中学生海外派遣事業を開始し、中学生16名が参加しました。これまでニュージーランド、アメリカ、オーストラリア、イギリスでホームステイ活動が28回（IIFA10回、SIFA18回）行われました。 1996年5月 日本語教室開始 日常生活を支援するために、旧伊予三島市に外国人向けの日本語教室が開始されました。 2001年4月 ラグビー国際親善試合 スカイフィールドの完成を記念して、IIFAはホームステイ受入を行い、2つのラグビー試合（神戸大学対カンタベリー大学、三島高校対ヒルモートン高校）の開催を支援しました。 2005年5月 SIFAに名称変更 2004年の四国中央市合併に伴い、IIFAは名称を四国中央国際交流協会（SIFA）に変更しました。 2006年11月 ジャワ島中部地震被災地募金活動 ジャワ島中部地震の被災地支援のため募金活動が実施されました。これまでにニュージーランド、日本、ネパール、中国などでの自然災害に対し、同様の募金活動を行ってきました。 2009年10月 イングリッシュキャンプ 新宮で、市内中学3年生を対象とした第1回イングリッシュキャンプが開催されました。このイングリッシュキャンプは主に夏休みに15回実施され、CIRやALTと共に楽しいアクティビティを通じて英語力を活用しています。 しこちゅ～国際交流フェスタ開始 2015年2月1日 様々な国際交流イベントが行われたが、2015年にSIFAは初のしこちゅ～国際交流フェスタを開催された。四国中央市における多文化共生を推進するため、各国のブースやパフォーマンス、ポットラックパーティーを通じて多様な習慣や文化を紹介する。

It is run by the Japan Foundation in foreign countries, and by the Japanese Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES) in Japan. The test is entirely multiple choice and has 5 different levels you can take. N1 is the highest level, and N5 is the lowest level. The JLPT is held twice per year, once in July and once in December. It is often used by school admission offices and employers for measuring someone's Japanese level. How to Sign Up: The sign up has closed for the July test. The December sign up application will open sometime in mid-August. Tip! Sign up as early as possible. Sign ups for the July 2026 N3 test closed 11 days early and 13 days early for the N4 test due to high demand. Bring an Analog Watch Most test rooms do not have a clock on the wall, so it is up to the test taker to bring their own watch to keep track of time. The test proctor will write the finish time of each section on a board, but there is no 5 or 10 minute warning. Analog watches are only allowed, so you will not be allowed to use digital or smart watches. Take Eraser Labels Off It is ok to use erasers during the test, but you must take off the labels with any writing to prevent people from trying to cheat. Turn Your Phone Off You will be asked to turn off your phone and put it away in your bag during the test. You are allowed to use your phone during the test break, but it is better to be safe than sorry by keeping it in your bag. Any phone use will automatically result in disqualification from the test and phone noises may disqualify you as well. Be Quiet in the Test Building During test breaks, it is important to remain quiet inside the test building. Staff members will remind you to not talk in the hallways or stairwells. But you are able to talk once you go outside the test building. Not Using Trash Cans At least at the Ehime test buildings, we were not able to use the trash cans and had to take our garbage home. The trash cans will be taped off and clearly marked saying you cannot use them.
